Medford Youth Soccer Club offers various developmental training sessions for all coaches and all players throughout the soccer year. These types of training sessions will make coaches and players much more comfortable, consistent and confident.

Coaches:
Intracity and travel coaching development (CD) are on-going throughout the year. Specific trainings to review the club’s theme happen in the beginning of August before the fall season, and in the beginning of March before the spring season. Reflection discussions also take place with travel head coaches in the winter off-season months to help prepare and transition to the spring.

Players:

Player Development (PD) training sessions are also offered throughout the year, mostly during the off-season winter and summer months. During the season, there are various training sessions for field players and goalkeepers.
Here are the types of training offered:

90 minutes: Warm up, fitness, skills/drills and instructional pickup game (see details below)

60 minutes: Traditional training session with a warm up, fitness, skills and drills (no games)
60 minutes: “PD pickup game” — an instructional pickup game to help with certain phases of the game such as positioning, and challenge each player's decision making

We are always here to support ALL of our coaches, players, and families 24x7!
